Engineering Courses and Progress

In December 2016, I graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI.

 

In the summer of 2011, I took an introductory welding course at Ivy Tech, Indiana's statewide community college, while working at Subaru of Indiana Automotive and caring for my ailing elderly father. In late August 2011, I moved to Indianapolis to begin Ivy Tech's AS in Pre-Engineering program, with a concentration in electrical engineering, for transfer to the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. In the summer of 2014, I completed Ivy Tech's AS in Pre-Engineering (EE), magna cum laude.

 

While working toward my engineering degree at Ivy Tech, I also took welding courses, because welding is quite enjoyable. It is interesting to see how welds are made in different positions, on different metals, and with the various methods like MIG and oxyacetylene. In the summer of 2013, I completed Ivy Tech's Certificate in Industrial Technology, Structural Welding Concentration, magna cum laude.
